Herman Jones LLP Has Filed a Class Action Lawsuit on behalf of Persons Who Have Been Harmed by Live Nation and Ticketmaster’s Anticompetitive Conduct
On May 29, 2024, Herman Jones LLP (www.hermanjones.com) filed a class action lawsuit in the United States District Court for the Southern District of New York, styled Stevens v. Live Nation Entertainment, Inc. and Ticketmaster L.L.C., No. 1:24-cv-4106 (the “Lawsuit”), on behalf of consumers affected by the defendants’ anticompetitive actions. The Lawsuit alleges that Live Nation and Ticketmaster worked to eliminate competition in the live entertainment industry to the detriment of fans, artists and venues. The results include exorbitant fees for fans, fewer alternatives for purchasing or selling tickets, and less flexibility for artists and venues. On May 23, 2024, the Justice Department, together with 30 state and district attorneys general, filed a civil antitrust lawsuit against Live Nation and Ticketmaster, also alleging anticompetitive actions in the live entertainment industry markets, in the Southern District of New York, styled U.S., et al. v. Live Nation Entertainment, Inc. and Ticketmaster L.L.C., No. 1:24-cv-3973.
